Hi, someone probably already shared this with you.
I’m not Iranian or Shiite, but thought you may enjoy this movie Maryam Muqaddasa, the life story of Mary. I was watching it last night with my husband. Made us cry. Peace!

(just fyi, i do not cover my head in public, but i enjoy reading your thoughts and experiences on the subject). yesterday, we were out at the library, and my oldest daughter saw a Muslim woman with a hijab and my daughter turned to me and said, “Mama, that woman is just about the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. She’s so pretty – and so modest!” I thought of you as soon as she said it. πŸ™‚

Oh, cool, Anna. I was really hoping you would like it. I like a lot of foreign films too, broadens the cultural perspective.
Angela, that is so inspiring, what your daughter said, because, for sure, it isn’t always easy dressing differently from almost everyone. May God allow your daughter to keep her outlook on modesty.

"I can't say I don't believe in your God, but I don't believe He meant the world to be as it is." ~Nicholas Higgins. North and South.

"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you are licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what." No idea where that last quote came from, but I like it!
