I think I’ve seen another video with this particular convert. She is really poised and seemed to be very aware of what she was doing with her conversion.

Oh I know what you mean on your twitter comment about Christians and hijab. I usually wear a hijab-like cover to church and people are always asking me why I do that even though the other women cover too. They just wear things that are more like bandannas. I would look forward to reading your thoughts on that.

what about the heavy make up on the eyes though – is this a double standard?

I agree with you on that!

I think modesty includes much more than a mere covering up of our body, it would seem more reasonable to include covering anything which would attract attention which would lead to sexual pleasure (and in the case of men I would think that even eye make up would trigger that)

But I think that it was great of her to think about change. Obviously she has done a great job in her move towards modesty and I’m sure refinements would find their way to her though Lord-willing

"I can't say I don't believe in your God, but I don't believe He meant the world to be as it is." ~Nicholas Higgins. North and South.

"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you are licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what." No idea where that last quote came from, but I like it!
