Life Updates

The big announcement is next week. You’ll just have to sit tight until then.

We are happy, healthy, and generally doing grand.  I have been sewing, working on the secret project, cooking, and more cooking, and eagerly awaiting spring…but wait…I think that has sprung. Daffodils are blooming in our town.

You are so lucky to have daffodils already. Here in Delaware, while it is sunny today, it is 24 F out with some wind. I did see a few snowdrops and crocuses pushing up in my friend’s yard the other day, so that is progress, but we are far from daffodils.

Ahhh…but the early spring weather in Oklahoma comes at a cost: very brief, v-e-r-y windy, and then…it is summer by April. Tornadoes. No rain. 95 f daily for three months straight. Windy again. [Fall = leaves blowing off trees.] Ice storms.

Yeah…you can tell I am stick a fork in me, I’m DONE with Oklahoma weather. 😉

Wow! Flowers in February. We still have 2 feet of snow on the ground and 10 degrees. No flowers until late May or June.

"I can't say I don't believe in your God, but I don't believe He meant the world to be as it is." ~Nicholas Higgins. North and South.

"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you are licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what." No idea where that last quote came from, but I like it!
