    I love polls!

hm… i don’t really fit into any of those groups. I cover at church, when out of the home and when praying at home. When I’m just at home by myself, I occasionally cover, but it’s not an “all the time” thing.

Hair is given to us as a covering. But I put “no” on this survey because I know what you mean. But I don’t consider myself uncovered….

I think there should be a category for “No, and I do not agree that it is important, but am not offended by the concept”- A more neutral “no” category.

I guess I fall in the more neutral no category myself, but I think if you feel called to cover, and you are doing so, good for you.

I do sometimes, but only recently.

At first I was just aesthetically inspired by some of the headcovering traditions and styles (tiechels are super-romantic, aren’t they? and who can look at the Lady Macsnood site without placing an order?) but I also find myself surprised by how much I like the feeling of protection that it affords, and am fast coming around to the idea that there’s something more behind the tradition than first meets the eye.

It’s sort of the same way I came around to accept the idea of submission to my husband– started out as curiosity mixed with hostility, but for me, experimenting in even very small ways with the concept vastly improved almost every aspect of my life!

And now I am absolutely convinced that there was more to this “submission in marriage” idea than male selfishness.

But St. Augustine himself couldn’t have argued me into that idea three years ago!

You blogging ladies are doing a great thing here, IMHO.

My answer is really closer to Dana’s, but I chose ALL DAY, EVERY DAY cuz that was the closest of the choices to what I do.

    Hugs,

    Kristin

Quotes

"I can't say I don't believe in your God, but I don't believe He meant the world to be as it is." ~Nicholas Higgins. North and South.

"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you are licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what." No idea where that last quote came from, but I like it!
