Wow, very nice! If more churches spoke out like that it would be great.

Very good! I wish this was the norm in the body of Christ.
Our church has a funny stance on such issues, headcovering included.
“It is a personal decision, and is NOT to be taught in the setting of the church.
If you desire to behave in such a “righteous” manner, that is great, but do not do anything else.
We do not want to devide this church that we have worked so hard to “build”.”

I think lots of church communities have a difficult time with this issue. Much of it is out of fear that they will see a major drop in members. And unfortunately members equals money for the church to survive.

I think until we change they way we as a society view what is correct in dressing and public appearance we are in a no win situation. If people who are famous or in the public eye started to do it I’m sure others would too.

I think sometimes how difficult it must be for the Amish because they really go against the grains of society.

Coming to realize that our physical attributes are not what make us worthy and wonderful people really is a personal journey. Some of us take longer than others to stop needing positive reactions to our looks to validate ourselves.

"I can't say I don't believe in your God, but I don't believe He meant the world to be as it is." ~Nicholas Higgins. North and South.

"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you are licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what." No idea where that last quote came from, but I like it!
