Sick

::::Updated 11-07:::::

So the cold is better and I am at work…but the intestinal distress continues. I did my research. This is what I came up with… Not a big surprise because near blood relatives also have had serious intestinal distress. I have some prescription muscle relaxants targeted for that area…but I’d rather not become dependent. This is most definitely stress-related. The problem is the vicious circle that is stress-induced illness. I can deal with the stress, but then the pain is stressful in and of itself! So do I worry about the pain or the thing that I am worrying about ?!?

Writing about the stress is therapy; the pain is less when I feel like I am doing good in the world. *Sigh*

Early in the week, I was having some odd intestinal symptoms. I stayed home from work yesterday. Those issues resolved themselves by noon…but then my ears and throat began to hurt. This morning, full-blown head cold! The right side of my face is noticeably swollen from all the snot. TMI, sorry.

Ok, I should call in sick again. Thank God for generous sick leave hours!

Quotes

"I can't say I don't believe in your God, but I don't believe He meant the world to be as it is." ~Nicholas Higgins. North and South.

"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you are licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what." No idea where that last quote came from, but I like it!
