Gas Prices Check

We drove past the local corner station and the sign read…

$2.01 a gallon!

$1.97 a gallon!

[Gas Buddy says we have the lowest price in the nation!]

What is gasoline currently in your neighborhood?

[FYI – We have had consistently lower than national average prices in Southwestern Oklahoma. Oil derricks, refineries, and Halliburton have something to do with this blessed mercy.]

Hubby filled up over the weekend at $2.49, then we saw another gas station at $2.47. I’m very happy to see the lower gas prices!

    We’re at $2.63 (Costco) or $2.69 (non-Costco). :\

    We are still at $3.49.
Even though Alaska produces oil, we are always at least a $1 more than the rest of the US :o(
We have to open investigations into wy its so high still, and yet it will only drop 2-3 cents per week at the most.
Also, this price is wothout our 8 cent fuel tax which is suspended for one year.

How very odd! It probably has something to do with refining capacity, your state’s EPA standards, transportation of gasoline, and….who knows what else. Common sense would dictate you all would have $1.50/gallon.

Here in Washington, we just hit $2.58 today which is a whole dollar less than it was just two weeks ago. WOW! I’m taking in the gas cans tomorrow to fill them up so we can run the generator this winter when the power goes out, like usual. 🙂 I might just fill up all the gas tanks I can find and re-fill the gas cans, you just know the prices won’t stay this low for long… Oh and we’ll fill up the diesel barrel so we can run the tractor all winter too.

Funny when gas prices are so exciting. 🙂 I found the the milk prices at the local dairy have gone down too, from $3.20 to $3.00 per gallon. Milk was cheaper than gas for quite a while…

I don’t think the words common sense exist when it comes to big oil. Tesoro has always driven and kept our costs high, and right now, the excuse being used, is that they are trying to recoup what was lost due to the tax being cut, and the loss during the highest prices. We were just shy of $5 a gallon at the highest. And that was the price just in the valley.
In the Bush it was around $9-$10.
I know those numbers never made into the national average!
Our prices did not start to come down till several weeks after the lower 48 saw a reduction.

Wow! I’d love to see gas under $2! Goodness, I’d love to see it under 3! It’s $3.39 here in California.

In southern BC (Canada) it’s about $1.16 a litre, which is about a quarter of a gallon. That’s down from nearly a dollar fifty at the beginning of September. Most of the people I know can’t afford to heat their homes, if they’re on oil (many are here).

    $1.97 here in Virginia! 🙂

"I can't say I don't believe in your God, but I don't believe He meant the world to be as it is." ~Nicholas Higgins. North and South.

"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you are licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what." No idea where that last quote came from, but I like it!
