The Farm Again

One of the income sources for the farm (run by another family) is a wine and eating grapes vineyard. They have around 7 acres up on a hilltop. I helped pick some wine grapes on Sunday.

Two of three cows. The baby one on the left is “Brisket”. You can guess why he has that name. They hang around the edge of the vineyard to graze.

Ok, that is the end of the farm pics. I thought I got a photo of the B&B addition…uh-oh.

We had a grand time. It really is a special place (all 80 acres of it…that is a large piece of land once you start walking across, up and down the hills…) So now we need to spend intensive time in thinking and praying over whether or not we make the move. 😉

Very nice. 80 acres is that rather in-between size isn’t it? Big for the small scale farmer, small for a “normal” commercial venture. But with mixed farming and ingenuity I’m sure it could work.

We’re on the point of expanding from one to five acres, so not exactly in the same league.

Boy, haven’t you got a lot of contemplating to do!

    Bon courage.

The farm sounds and looks like a great place. I will pray for the Lord’s will to be revealed in your lives.

    Blessings!

Quotes

"I can't say I don't believe in your God, but I don't believe He meant the world to be as it is." ~Nicholas Higgins. North and South.

"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you are licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what." No idea where that last quote came from, but I like it!
