Kombucha Help Requested

The art of Kombucha brewing, ahh me! I managed to make vinegar my first batch. 😦 It was left for a week, which I guess was too long at the indoor temps of my apartment. The mother and baby still look chipper enough, so I made a new brew last night. I will check the taste in three days.

Any other kombucha brewing tips?

    I know this is an old post and you’ve probably worked it out, but I have to reply.

    I don’t brew kombucha anymore, but when I did, I found I had to let mine ferment for nine or ten days to get about right. You can use a straw kind of like a wine theif, and sample it every day, maybe twice if you need to.

    I hope you saved the vinegar and ate and cleaned and bathed with it. Its still very good for you.
