Close Call

Our little white Toyota, that is. We went grocery shopping at Wal-Mart last night. Jeff dropped me off at the door and then parked next to a cart corral. When we came out with our full cart, we saw a strange sight!

It appeared that a grey sporty car had parked backward next to ours, jutting out into the lane. As we got closer to our car, we saw the security guard standing in the lane. What the??

Apparently, this person parked their brand-new auto (which was a standard transmission) and did not put the brake on properly. It rolled backwards and the cart corral stopped it. The car missed our bumper by 6 inches! We could have had a crunched tail light or worse. Some passers-by took photos on their cell phones. 🙂

If that wasn’t an angel, I don’t know what was….

"I can't say I don't believe in your God, but I don't believe He meant the world to be as it is." ~Nicholas Higgins. North and South.

"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you are licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what." No idea where that last quote came from, but I like it!
