A New Heroine

Sabina Wurmbrand is my new heroine of the Faith. You may read about her and her husband here. They started the Voice of the Martyrs after been tortured under the Nazis and then the Communists in Romania. In almost every photo of her I’ve seen, she wore a headscarf and a jumper dress. I believe her outside appearance truly reflected her interior state. May I receive such bravery, if necessary. There is also a biography called The Pastor’s Wife I want to order online, too.

She gave a talk (dated before 1991) you can listen to here. “God’s Beauty Parlor” will make you cry…get hankies ready!

Hey Anna! I wanted to tell you…I was reading back in your posts..and you sound so much like my best friend! She’s autistic, and at first we had a lot of trouble communicating but now we have so much fun together!! 😉

"I can't say I don't believe in your God, but I don't believe He meant the world to be as it is." ~Nicholas Higgins. North and South.

"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you are licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what." No idea where that last quote came from, but I like it!
