#39 – See a Sunset

We visited Jeff’s Uncle and a friend out at Camp Y’shua yesterday, north of Meers, Oklahoma. This is a multi-purpose Christian Camp set on the backside of the Wichita Mountains. I believe it is the prettiest spot in Oklahoma I’ve seen so far!

Uncle Denny grilled a delicious tender steak for us. (Free-range local cattle….mmmm!) The grounds of the camp are excellently cared for. We tooled around in little all-terrain golf carts, even in the dark with a flashlight as a headlight. That was some scary fun! The sun set behind us as we watched the shadows creep along the mountain sides. What a glorious time. We’ll be back soon!

Sounds like fun! Our church is planning an afternoon out there this coming Sunday, the 8th, and I had never heard of it before this.

"I can't say I don't believe in your God, but I don't believe He meant the world to be as it is." ~Nicholas Higgins. North and South.

"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you are licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what." No idea where that last quote came from, but I like it!
