New to Me: Links on Wednesday

Here are a few links to read and ponder:

This article uses an awesome quote from an “Asian believer”. Note: There is a piece of artwork on this article which is weirdly out of place…you are forewarned.

The Maidens of Modesty for your younger ladies.

Review of Newsweek articles on the Girls Gone Mild book…also great comment discussion at the end.

One woman’s realization of Modesty issues.

An excellent article from an Orthodox perspective.

    Some of these should be submitted to the Carnival of Modesty– they’re pretty good!

    Hi Anna!
    This has nothing to do with your post but I NEED to know how to put the buttons on my dress! I know how to sew the button itself on but what about the button hole?! Aaah! I’m afraid to put a whole in this dress since it has taken me a few tries to get it this far!
    Signed,
    Scared of button holes! ::giggle::
    Blessings,
    Miki

Quotes

"I can't say I don't believe in your God, but I don't believe He meant the world to be as it is." ~Nicholas Higgins. North and South.

"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you are licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what." No idea where that last quote came from, but I like it!
