My Apron Contest Entry

I’m not sure what category to place this apron, how about “the most cute?” Jeff has decided the apron would fall under “Most Unique.”

I made it to use while I worked at a Montesorri preschool 8 years ago. The Montesorri method is really big on using aprons during hands-on projects. This pattern has a wrap-around effect with the two back pieces crossing over each other (I think it was a McCall’s pattern.) One has to wiggle into it like a jumper. The fabric is a Beatrix Potter print with a whole host of characters from her stories. I attached eyelet lace to the edges of two pockets and used bias tape all the way around the apron.

I’ll try to get a clear photo of the fabric pattern up later.

Go ahead and enter the Apron Contest. I’d love to see what your favorite apron looks like!

I like it! Is that the Daisy Kingdom pattern? I have that one, but haven’t made the apron yet.

"I can't say I don't believe in your God, but I don't believe He meant the world to be as it is." ~Nicholas Higgins. North and South.

"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you are licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what." No idea where that last quote came from, but I like it!
