Light Blogging/Changes Ahead

I’ve been taking it easy here at Veiled Glory but not for the right reasons. I’ve been blogging more over at Conservative Brunette recently. That hasn’t been a fruitful project because I feel like I’m writing polemics (and those are often repeated elsewhere) instead of really conversing with others. Veiled Glory is so much better for my ADD brain because I have a fairly set subject area here, one that I love, by the way!

On the personal front: I will be taking a summer class at Cameron U. on weekday nights. My priorities need to be straightened out to allow time for God, Husband, Home and then Veiled Glory.

So, the changes ahead:

1.) This blog will move over to WordPress hosting but the Veiled Glory link will point to it (hopefully). Stay tuned to see if I need to set up a subdomain for the blog. WordPress hosting, as I learned through the CB, is AWESOME for the not-so-techie folks like me.

2.) Conservative Brunette will be no more. Frown, frown. I gave it the good ol’ college try. I like journaling in a real book better.

3.) I also have another secret project in the works for August. It’ll be a great way for me to earn a little money to pay for hosting costs and provide a service to vintage home lovers everywhere! Hint: Something to do with books…

Here are some articles to enjoy this weekend. Jeff and I will be visiting my sister’s high school graduation in Missouri until Sunday night.

Myranda Morgan wrote an excellent essay on “Why I wear a Headcovering”.

Do Toupees count as a “covered head?”

"I can't say I don't believe in your God, but I don't believe He meant the world to be as it is." ~Nicholas Higgins. North and South.

"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you are licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what." No idea where that last quote came from, but I like it!
