A New Headcovering Friend

I’ve just “met” Deanna over at Hands and Hearts blog. She posted a great article recapping [no pun intended] her decision to dress modestly and cover. Its a great read! Snip:

When the conviction to dresses and/or skirts only came into my heart, I had to go all the way and make it dresses/skirts ONLY.  I couldn’t just do it half-hearted as it were and make it a once-in-a-while thing.  Once that conviction was in my heart, I just couldn’t make it “okay” to only do it part of the time.  Same with my conviction for headcovering…that one came about slowly, with me fighting it all the way, though.  But it went from a simple, small buncover, to a sort of small snood, on to a hanging veil.  Either way, I could no more wear pants nwo and feel comfortable and fully dressed than I could letting my hair hang all over and “doing it up” in some style or fashion.  That was the ‘old’ me…the B.C. me (before Christ)….

Quotes

"I can't say I don't believe in your God, but I don't believe He meant the world to be as it is." ~Nicholas Higgins. North and South.

"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you are licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what." No idea where that last quote came from, but I like it!
