Just after work this evening, I decided to “drive by” where the Friends of the Public Library annual book sale was being held. I saw there were a passel of people going in, I parked and joined them. I’m so glad I did! Here is what I bought for…$2.75!
- Childbirth Without Fear, Grantly Dick Read., 2nd Edition 1953. It came from the collection of a local doctor.
- Early American Textiles, Frances Little, 1931.
- Agriculture for Elementary Schools, published in 1933 for Oklahoma Public Schools.
- Food and Clothing, text book for domestic science classes, 1914.
- The Politics of Jesus, John Howard Yoder.
- Etiquette, Emily Post, 1942. This is my treasure! It only has a slight scratch on the cover, but otherwise is pristine. It also has a special chapter in the back for “War Times.”
Jeff and I are going back tomorrow morning. I didn’t even make it to the children’s section.
