Laying Down the Blogs

My blogging sisters and brothers will know how difficult this post is to write.

I think it is time to “lay down” my blogging, as the Quakers like to say. Yes, it seems like I’m just getting popular momentum. Why cut it off now?

Veiled Glory was a great springboard for me to get into the head covering pattern of life. I loved meeting all the ladies and gentlemen from amazingly differing backgrounds who came here to visit. It was a confidence booster.

Last week I realized there was much more listening I needed to do instead of writing for a season. God has provided some Elders (in person and through the internet) that have been vitally important to where I am spiritually right now. Don’t worry, I’m not getting into some sort of leader-worship-cult! Quite the opposite! We all need some mature people of faith to help us along the way at times.

So, for however long it takes, I will be writing in my journal that collected dust while I was blogging or thinking about blogging. I will be reading Scripture, five chapters a day. I will be visiting with new friends. Trying out wobbly lamb legs, spiritually speaking. Sewing and knitting lots of cool stuff.

I may come back to Blogland under a different guise in the future, perhaps after the holidays.  Of course, I’ll still visit others’ blogs and comment. You are still an inspiration!

Adieu.
