Girls Gone Mild Recommendation

Next on my reading list is Girls Gone Mild by Wendy Shalit, recently released in hard cover. I’m already through the Introduction and First Chapter and I am enjoying it thoroughly!

Wendy wrote her first book several years ago, entitled A Return to Modesty, which I also own. While that book is a fascinating read, I thought that she did not draw enough conclusions by the end of it. I felt like laundry flapping in the breeze. :) Girls Gone Mild seems to be the fruit of her labor and already I can sense where she is going and what sorts of “social diagnosis” she is making.

Wendy also started and helps maintain The Modesty Zone. There is also another website connected to the book here.

If you can afford it, I would recommend purchasing the hardcover. I always like to support good authors that way.

Hmmm…if the book continues to be profitable….maybe a group read?

[Disclaimer: Girls Gone Mild is a blunt and frank social commentary on sexual mores.  If this isn't your cup of tea, then don't order it or wait for a library copy.]
